When we run into people from our online community, or people who have watched our show out in the world, we're consistently asked why we don't share more of our personal lives on social media. Aside from obvious privacy concerns, we genuinely don't know how much of our day-to-day is all that interesting! That, and well, as time is our most precious commodity, we share as much as possible in the limited moments of availability that we have throughout our days, however sporadic that may seem.
We appreciate your patience with this and understanding how much we genuinely want to share with you. I promise, we're doing our best to juggle it all.
That said, a lot happened last year that you may have missed, or perhaps we even forgot to share! 2024 was one for the books. We took a lot of trips (as you'll see here), and tried to stay in the moment as much as possible. This was both refreshing and challenging. lol
So here's our little recap of the year, our attempt at pulling back the curtain and sharing more of our life and adventures with you!

January
We were excited to kick off the year with a trip.
Travel is something we both love to do but never get time to do! Between filming the show, client projects, social media, or our everyday 9-5 gigs, it just always gets pushed to the back burner.
So celebrating a friend's 40th birthday in Cabo, Mexico sounded like the perfect excuse to getaway and kick our feet up for a nice change of pace.
Needless to say, we had a blast. This definitely got us excited to travel more in 2024.
February

We finally got to attend the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) and the International Builders Show (IBS) in Las Vegas. This was our first major trade show event to attend together. We've been wanting to go for years.
Brice and I get so geeked out over new products and technology, so this was like two kids in a candy store for us. We talked with so many brands, saw so many demonstrations and took home some cool gadgets and goodies. We also walked between 7 and 8 miles each day at the show! It was nuts. But by the end, we were so inspired and jacked up to get home and start working on projects.
March

After breaking ground on the new workshop in January (brrr), we spent most of March working a ton on the rough-ins, framing, drywall, roofing, and windows, to name a few.
It feels like this workshop/design studio has been so many years in the making, but then almost in the blink of an eye, we had accomplished so much! Watching a dream take shape at this scale, is really hard to describe. But we were finally seeing so much of the hard work pay off.
By the end of March, this is where we were at. Oh so much more workshop content to come! So stay tuned...

April
In April, we continued progress on the workshop/design studio. No major updates though.
We also celebrated both our birthdays! Brice was on April 7th and mine on April 20th.
May
Brooke and Brice - Japan - May 2024
JAPAN!
In May, we crossed off a MAJOR bucket list, dream trip to Japan! After years of dreaming, saving, and planning, we made it happen. We took in everything the country had to offer and visited different areas, like Tokyo, Kyoto. and Osaka. We enjoyed the food, the culture, the architecture and everything in between.
My favorite part of the trip was, by far, the food. The Wagyu beef was absolutely amazing, unlike anything we’ve ever had in the US. The daily caught tuna was the most incredible thing I’ve personally ever eaten. And Japan had some of the best pizza! And donuts! Who would have thought?! Brice loved all things Matcha from drinks to ice cream.
Brice's favorite part of the trip was experiencing the culture. He loved how respectful everyone was of each each other, not just to other Japanese citizens, but to all people. He loved how clean everything was kept and how no one was entitled — if trash was on the ground, anyone would stop to pick it up, because they wanted to keep their country clean. It was really was beautiful to see.
We hope to create an entire blog post one day with all of our photos and full itinerary from our trip. It really was the trip of a lifetime. And it deserves a permanent place on our blog for sure.

June
Brice was honored as part of a 40 under 40 Dentist in America celebration in New York City. That's our guy! So dang proud of him.
We explored the city a bit and I even talked Brice into eating Italian at an authentic Italian restaurant while we were there. This was a big deal because he genuinely does not like noodles. I know, it's wild, right?

July
In July, we spent a week at 30A in Florida.
For those that don't know, this is a tiny slice of paradise along the panhandle of Florida in the Gulf of Mexico. It's become more crowded in recent years (I guess the secret is out), but we always enjoy going there, spending time with family, and soaking up the ocean views.
On this trip, we had a family photo shoot on the beach and ate the best banana pudding ice cream at Blue Mountain Beach Creamery (every day while we were there).

August
Please enjoy this blurry, cheesy selfie of us, which may be the only recollection I have from the entire month. lol
We celebrated our 12th year wedding anniversary. Every year goes by faster than the last, and makes us love each other even more. Gosh, I got teared up typing that!

September
We went to Hershey Pennsylvania to visit our favorite sawmill, Weaber Lumber. We also went to Hershey Park, took all the tours to learn about Milton Hershey, and of course, ate some delicious chocolate (more than we were prepared to indulge). Bring on the sweatpants, just in time for fall.

October
In October, we visited Vail, Colorado for the first time. We were there for a dental conference for Brice, but we got some downtime to experience the beauty of the Rocky Mountains in the fall, which was so beautiful!

November
Another 40th birthday party celebration meant another new destination! Whew, lots of travel this year! Look at us go.
This time, we headed to Palm Springs, California and stayed at the famous La Quinta Inn. It was beautiful and a nice, warm escape from a very chilly Nashville.

December
Well you probably guessed it, but we spent the month of December decorating the house for the holidays, wrapping Christmas presents, hosting Christmas parties and enjoying time with family and friends! I wasn't sure at one point if it would all come together in time, but with some late nights and yuletide cheer, (aka candy) I pulled it off!
While these are just a few of the highlights, 2024 was definitely worth the year in review, here on our blog. It was filled with amazing travels, personal and professional growth, and time spent with people who encourage and inspire us daily. We look forward to more of all of these things in the year to come, and sharing them with you!
Bring it 2025. We're ready for ya.
