I can’t believe we're half way through February of the new year! It’s wild how fast time flies these days. Maybe it always has, but I’m just much more aware of it now. Things always change and we have to go with the flow, but for the most part, I know what we’re doing for the year. So I wanted to share them here with you all.
We have LOTS of trips again this year. One I’m most excited about is Brice’s 40th birthday trip. He doesn’t know where we’re going yet! But planning out the year requires me to set goals for myself so I can try and achieve things both big and small. I also want to be able to look back and celebrate the wins along the way (which I’m not great at). So maybe y'all can help hold me accountable.
Brooke's 2025 Goals
Workshop Completion
Let's start with my biggest goal for the year, and that’s to finish the workshop/design studio! It’s been a long process and we’ve had to pull our subs off our project to work on other client projects of ours. So our personal stuff gets put on the back burner so our clients can move forward. But 2025 is our year to complete it!! Let's gooooo!

In-Person Classes
This goes hand-in-hand with my next biggest goal, which is to FINALLY start hosting in-person workshops! It’s something I’m insanely passionate about and have been eager to start for a long time. From painting techniques, to learning to use tools, to building 101 and more advanced classes as well. I can’t wait to be able to interact with you, teach you, and create things together in-person.

Focused Time
Another goal I have is to be more focused on my marriage and dedicating an ample amount of time to continue getting to know Brice, through date nights, couples retreats, and phone-free time. Like I said earlier, time flies and life goes by so quickly. I don’t want a year to go by where I say “I don’t know that I learned anything new about my husband this year.”
Complacency is a real thing and I want to know that we are always doing what is needed to grow in our love for each other and make the best out of our marriage.

Social Time
One thing I really struggle with is the amount of physical, emotional and mental bandwidth I have leftover after I’ve been a drug rep and a general contractor for a day. I need to be more intentional about reserving some energy in the tank to be more social and to nurture and foster relationships.
Brice's 2025 Goals

Give MORE
My main goal of 2025 is to give more. Give more time. Give more money. Give more of my attention to whatever I'm focused on. Just OK, is not OK and I’m striving to be great at anything I put my time and energy into.

Healthy & Thriving
Another goal I have is to get healthy in 2025. That means eating better, working out, eating the vegetables Brooke always tries to force me to eat. I’ll never enjoy them but I’ll eat them if I know they'll help me in the long run. I'd also like to go to bed earlier, limit the time I spend watching sports, and read more.
I wouldn’t mind getting on a more consistent schedule too. I just want a more healthy, sustainable lifestyle because I need to live forever! Or at least as long as Brooke does (and you know, she never quits anything).

Quality Time with Brooke
I guess my last goal would be to experience more of life with Brooke. I want to make sure we are enjoying our time together and that it is quality time. I also want to spend more time with friends and family and not take my relationships with any of them for granted.
Setting actionable and achievable goals that slightly push you outside your comfort zone is what leads to a well lived life. And while it’s easy to just go with the flow and drown yourself in every day tasks, if you can remember there is a bigger goal you’re striving for, it makes the mundane tasks of every day seemed to be more purposeful.
Let’s see how many goals we can achieve together.
Follow along and see how 2025 goes!
